Alarabi Basketball Club left Thursday morning to participate in the 39th Gulf Basketball Championship which will be held in Al-Asma, Manama, from 20-27 April.
The Qatari basketball team will be represented by Al-Arbawi, runners-up of the league and champion Al-Shamal Club.
Al-Shamali came in the first group with Sharjah UAE, Al-Ahli Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, while Al-Shamal came in the second group which includes Al-Ahli Dubai UAE, Manama Bahrain and Al-Seeb Oman.
Al-Arabi’s first encounter with Bahrain’s Al-Ahli on Saturday will be 5 pm Doha time.
Our team is well prepared for this edition of the Gulf championship, especially as the first three teams will qualify directly to the Asian Club Championship finals.
